Cycle Adventure: Crank up your heart rate and sweat it out in this class! Riders follow the instructor through intervals, simulated hills, and different cycling positions for a heart-pumping cardio workout! Spin bikes are provided, but the equipment is limited and available on a first-come/first-serve basis.
Deeply Fit: Deeply Fit is an aquatic class that takes place in the 10-foot deep end of the pool. Participants use flotation belts to stay suspended in the water, allowing for a total body cardio workout. Deep Water Exercise is impact-free for the joints and challenging for the participant’s heart & lungs as the body moves constantly against the natural resistance of the water. Challenge your body in a new, fun, and effective way! A limited number of flotation belts are provided. Class size is limited; space & equipment are available on a first-come/first-serve basis.
Move It, Shake It, Lift It!: This introductory/beginning strength training class will get your heart pumping and body moving! A basic resistance format is introduced, with a focus on how to properly perform simple strength training exercises paired with fun, upbeat movements. Let our certified instructor guide you to increased lean muscle mass, increased bone density, and stronger, more toned muscles! Oh, don’t forget the fun, too!
Quick Spin: Get your groove on with this 30 minute high intensity indoor cycling class. We will ride our way to improved cardiovascular health and have fun doing it!
Reps & Sets: This is a resistance class designed to improve muscular endurance and muscular strength. Participants will use a variety of resistance equipment during this full-body workout. Clarinda Pump is for all fitness levels, as individual participants determine the amount of resistance they use for each exercise.
Simple Flow: This yoga class is for the participant who is new to yoga or is seeking yoga poses and flows that can be modified for various joint and mobility challenges. Basic, foundational yoga poses, modifications, and a focus on breath awareness and control allow the participant to improve joint range of motion, balance, flexibility, and muscular strength, while also developing the mind-body connection. Participants can expect to leave class relaxed and energized! Limited props are provided. Participants should wear comfortable fitness clothing when attending.
Sun Salutations: This hybrid yoga class will get your body moving and heart pumping! Simple yoga poses infused with active bodyweight exercises are used to build up your cardio and strength.
AquaAnySize, Making Waves, and Splish Splash Cardio are water classes designed to improve flexibility, range of motion, and strengthen and tone muscles. The water promotes a feeling of weightlessness, allowing participants to perform exercises with less stress on joints. The warmth of the water soothes the joints, reduces strain, and eases arthritis pain, while also providing natural resistance to movements. Water Exercise is a great cardiovascular, low-impact workout for all!
Young @ ♡: This is a self-paced stretching class for participants who are looking to increase their flexibility and joint range of motion. Pose modifications will be offered. Participants may sit or stand for class. Active Living Yoga seeks to honor the aging body, yet helps participants continue to explore appropriate exercise options building self-confidence.
